Tadelakt
We also offer a new range of beautiful internal decorative polished plaster called tadelakt.
The history of tadelakt
Kreidezeit Tadelakt is a polished plaster based on the original Moroccan plaster meaning ‘to rub’ or ‘knead’ in Arabic. The use of this unique plaster had a practical purpose in a hot, arid climate. Records indicate that nomads used it to seal reservoirs for retaining drinking water. Over time its use was extended to plastering bath houses, riads and palaces.
Tadelakt is an ancient form of polished plaster and is made from traditional natural ingredients based on lime, marble dust and quartz sands. Creating a beautiful, shiny, water proof plaster for internal use.
Where to use tadelakt
Tadelakt is a natural, water repellent plaster so works as a beautiful, tactile alternative to tiling in wet rooms, showers and bathroom, on splash backs or even complete rooms in any area of your home.
